In Solibond's District Line DVD, there is an empty C-stock move from EBDY to Ealing Common Depot. Fair enough, but another C-stock goes from Ealing Common Depot and takes up service to Edgware Road. Whilst I understand that this could be a positioning move, I've never come accross C-stock in service west of ECT. The DVA can be heard saying it is a special service.
Are there scheduled C-stock services west of ECT regularly?
Thanks Guys

Myself and Seth got on a diverted Wimbleware C stock at Earl's Court a few weeks ago, it was diverted to Richmond because of signalling problems on the Wimbledon branch IIRC.

I've had C stock to Richmond three times, and once to Olympia. Personally I would have killed to be on the C stock that went to Chalfont

I took a C stock to Richmond last Saturday. I reached Richmond at 18:56 and departed 19:02. Made a nice change. Was diverted to cover a gap.

C stocks go to all destinations west of ECT reasonably often due to service disruption. On weekends when there is no service ECT - ACT the C stocks all do Edgware Rd - Olympia which would otherwise not be a timetabled move.

In the 70's they were regularly used to cover gaps on the Amersham service when the job went up the wall.

To reply to the original post, the move on the DVD was used for stock training purposes, and the train ran passenger to Ealing Broadway, empty back to Ealing Common Depot, then, when the training had finished it went empty to Acton Town, then passenger to either High St Ken or Edgware Road, depending on what time it came out of the depot. This tends not to happen very often now, as Parsons Green sidings are used instead of Ealing Common depot, for a number of reasons.
