Got a text from DD yesterday lunchtime - it seems Train 6 of the refurbs is returning - the first 2 cars were in Ealing Common yesterday - in what I gather is to be the livery of all the refurbs, with the broken blue. I have been informed that the first 3 refurbs will have their livery amended at some point to the new style as well.

I fail to see how the white gap helps. The livery with white/blue body and red doors is already much better than many on the mainline (cf Wessex Trains maroon body with pale-pink doors).

Can't see your line of reason there MA. If anyone can't tell red from blue they need an eye test. The 'broken blue line' looks bloody horrible, as if they have run out of paint

Loke others though I prefer the all blue skirt.

So are C stocks and all other stocks going to be amended as well? Is this really worth the money involved when most stations haven't even got wheelchair access yet?

DD says on his site that all of the double-ended units will have fully refurbished cabs; apparently at one time there was a possibility of making some of them single-ended. Does this remain so?

What is the criteria for the order these trains are sent away? Is it miles run? Last overhaul? or what?
