The inset picture might be somewhere on Birmingham's (now fashionable) canal system - just north of Gas Street Basin, perhaps?

Another station I've worked at.
Just in case it helps.
The door in the main view goes to the messroom and the door to the left is to the upper machine chamber.
PLUS I do believe another forum member has worked there.....
