Whilst using Ealing Broadway yesterday, I noticed for the first time that the station once had a separate station building and ticket hall. I did some research and found that it was closed in 1966 when the GWR station was flattened and replaced with the current eyesore. central-simon once said this about EBDY: At Ealing Broadway, LU pay First, heaps of money, for ticket provisions and for access. In return , LU stipulate certain conditions, like ticket office opening times, staffing levels etc etc. Would LU be saving any money in the long term (and possibly getting step-free access too) if it took back the old station building and made it into a ticket hall again?
