What was the usual frequency of freight trains coming onto the District via the Piccadilly, and how long could they be?
Also, when were the twin SSL diveunders rebuilt and shrunk to their current size?

The average length of the freight trains was about 6 or 8 cars (C69 car lengths) and latterly one to three a week.
The undercuts at TG were reconstructed at the same time as the Piccadilly was extended from Hammersmith circa 1930/32 IIRCC.
No I tell a lie because it must have been after the Coalers stopped. Although I am sure that I did see a coaler several times using said undercuts.
