When I last asked, Dave said that no further works had taken place on the commissioning of the 'ground-level' starters and repeaters for the e/b island at Earls Court District, and that the signals on the shelf were still in use.
Has any progress been made on that? I haven't been to Earls Court to have a look; in fact you almost can't even see the bagged signals at the moment anyway...
EDIT: Do the same prohibitions on the e/b signals apply to the w/b ones (possession required for works due to position)?

This is the first I've heard of it. Have I been failing to pay attention again?

This is the first I've heard of it. Have I been failing to pay attention again? Failing to pay attention again ADW! In fact, the heads have been installed for Platform 1, and can be seen attached to the structure to the offside of the cab as you pull away, though they are bagged up. Platform 2's still haven't been installed, but that's what the pretty cables hanging there neatly coiled up are for. Hopefully aetearlscourt will be along sometime to let us know the latest on this saga!

EDIT: Do the same prohibitions on the e/b signals apply to the w/b ones (possession required for works due to position)? No possessions are required as such, there is a prohibition on access to the signal gantries on the Eastbound as they are considered unsafe structures. There is no such problem on the Westbound.

they have made the structures safe for only 1 person at a time the main reason why there were being installed was people were complaining about the old signals (the ones on the gantry's) saying they look too old and not in a good condition. so as per the contract to modernise the station they also agreed to install new signal heads but i believe there is a gauging issue for the one for platform 2 (EC11)
