Hi all,
Does anyone have any idea of what the format of the announcements on London Overground trains will be when the new Class 378 trains are delivered?
For example on the East London Line route, would it be something like this:
This is Shadwell. Change here for the DLR.
This is a London Overground train/service to Dalston Junction???

I'm sorry but why would you really like to know this? I'm sure it'll be something like that anyhow. They probably won't use north/east/south/west-like destinations.

I think they should use the woman who makes the recoded announcements on the buses. Then call it itrain.

If it's like the buses, the announcement will come on at the wrong time and be very slow: London Overground......................... to............................................. Richmond  |

What I don't like about the bus announcements is that if there is a diversion, it stops working and just shows '*'. I was on a 258 recently that was diverted near to Harrow & Wealdstone. The driver didn't reset it properly after the diversion, and it showed the name of a bus stop the bus had gone past, and it didn't change for the rest of the route to Watford.
