Earlier in the year the old waiting room at Upminster Bridge station was kitted out with neat trunking and cables. Then monitors were connected that showed the outputs of the security cameras. A week or so later black blinds were fitted to the windows and the door became labelled "Station Supervisor".
All of this has now been removed and is back downstairs in what, in happier days, was the booking office, leaving the old waiting room a mess of partially torn out trunking.
Is this progress?

Seems a bit odd. A waste of time and, no doubt, money.

Was/is it part of the station refurbishement that is being carried out at Upmin Bridge perhaps?

Sounds like the SS office was being refurbished - probably to contain the new equipment - so the waiting room became a temp office.
