Anyone know if we've gotten anywhere closer to a definitive reopening date for Shepherd's Bush Central Line yet?
I've not heard anything about delays to the work and the original date was meant to be "mid october"

The latest I've seen on London Reconnections is that the Overground station will open on the 28th of September, but no exact date for the Central Line station appears to have been made public.

I know. I wrote that article. ;D
I've been trawling the usual official sites for a central line date buried somewhere in the paperwork but no luck yet, and TfL are being tightlipped about it as well.
Figured I'd see if anyone here had heard anything.

Probably because they don't want to put the mockers on it...

It is a closely guarded secret - one that I'm not going to reveal either.

Are you able to reveal why it's such a closely guarded secret?

The date I have seen for Wood Lane to open is 12th October so I suppose they may also open Shepherds Bush on the same day?

ATO is spot on - if it gets revealed and not met, there's egg on the faces of all concerned. Remember the coundown clock Metronet had for the reopening of the Waterloo and City line?
Nobody wants another embarassment like that.

Cheers lads - suspected as much but just wanted to check.
For what it's worth, I think the reasoning is relatively sound - the trouble with setting "definitive" dates too early is that often meeting that particular date becomes the goal, rather than actually seeing work completed to standard.

I've seen a recent leaflet which says that it is on course to open in "October 2008" - no more precise than that!

It appears that the date I (and the rest of the Metronet team) were given isn't the one. We were however only a day or so out from the correct date, which I will confirm once TfL have made it public....
