Does anyone model LU in N scale? I am looking to have some 59 stock produced for a commission. I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in acquiring some? Thanks

As far as I know there are no models of LU stock in N scale. There was an article in the railway modeller last May/June? where a 59 stock train was built out of spare parts!

Bodies for some surface stock are available from stuart143.fotopic.net/c1096285.html (no connection, just a satisified customer. I've bought a couple of sets from him (available on eBay from time to time) - D stock bodies will fit snugly onto Lima Mk1 chassis, although the wheelbase is wrong. Anything shorter (such as A stock) will need a shortened or scratchbuilt chassis. For power, I've used a Greenmax 20m chassis in the D stock, and am looking at possibly using a Tomix 17m chassis in the A stock. I don't know if he will produce other surface stock (or indeed tube stock) - I would of thought it would be quite tricky to produce flare-sided CO/CP stock for example! Parkwood Models produce resin bodies for Met electric locos (Sarah Siddons), and a battery loco as well. Electra Railway Graphics do a set of Sarah Siddons decals to fit.

There's a very sketchy one in "The London Underground Tube Stock" by the late J Graeme Bruce, p90.

There is currently a four car set of A60 stock bodies on ebay! Search for 'London transport locomotive' and you'll find it.
