Thanks for the L63 info Tubeprune.
A C&SLR loco would be nice but would enough demand be forthcoming? At least glazing a 'padded cell' would be easy! As for other tube stock, I would definately buy a pair of 1960 DMs. As for 1920 Ts and CTs, I'm sure you have realised my desire for departmental stock! I have a DVD which includes a shot of the instructional train as part of a cavalcade with a standard DM each end. Did the instructional train ever go anywhere apart from exhibitions or was it like the BR ex 3-SUB No S10 which used to sit in sidings all its life?
As someone who has only recently started posting on this site I have say that the level of feedback for some pretty bizarre questions of mine has been astounding. Thank you all.

The train spent a lot of time at Neasden but it did get moved from time to time. I think it was moved to White City when the school opened there in the early 1960s. It was scrapped about 1968.
