I assume LT will have a decent send off for the 67s, well at least an extra trip for enthusiasts as the 59 stock had in 1999 when it did that extra Edgware after its booked turn 132, does anyone know of any plans for such an event or indeed what month next year LT reckon they will end 67 stock operation on the Vic???

It will be 2011 at least before all of the 09 stock is delivered, so don't hold your breath for a 67 stock farewell just yet!

True, I know Im jumping the gun a bit just worried that LT may have various "last runs" followed by other "last runs" as the 59 stock had!!!!!!
Cheers

I wouldn't have thought there will be any 'official' fairwell. Unlike LT in years' past, LU (and LRT before that), are not interested in such things - old trains, old news, not capable of being 'spun' enough. If anyone disputes this, note that there was no *official* commemoration of the last 83TS, last unrefurbished A and D Stocks, or last 59TS and 62TS. Contrast this with the end of the Q Stock, R Stock, CO/CP Stock, Steam, and Met Electric locos; all of which were given an appropriate send off, whilst at the same time not disparaging the new order which replaced them. The end of mainstream Routemaster operation was too big a story for TFL to ignore completely, whilst Sarah Siddons and the 38TS are suitably so far in the past as to be 'non-threatening' to current policies (e.g. the constant reduction in seats and comfort in successive rolling stock designs). So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a farewell 'tour' of the Victoria Line, and won't some be going onto the Bakerloo in any case? Even the East London Line closure event was scaled down from that originally proposed.

I think the 1959 stock had more celebration beacause it was the last two man operated tube train in service. mind you since the 67 stock are the lines origional stock, it should be given a good send off and in any case if the bakerloo is extended to watford junct. they will be in service for more years to come

Paint one silver, red transfers, tour headboard in combined LT roundel/Victoria Line 'V' shape. It'll never happen...

Unlike LT in years' past, LU (and LRT before that), are not interested in such things - old trains, old news, not capable of being 'spun' enough. They could just go on about all services afterwards being run by the 'new' trains! As the 1972 stock on the Bakerloo are very similar to the 67TS, it is less likely there will be an official farewell.
