The other night I saw a LO train arriving at Braking platform 7. I thought this was the platform used for Grays services Do LO often use this platform at Barking ?

Platform 7 is usually used for Grays services, although trains can reach the line towards Uominster from that platform too. Platform 7 is also reachable from Woodgrange Park (unlike platform 4), hence the LO train being on it. Never seen it myself - perhaps there was a problem with the normal platform where LO trains reverse (plat 1). Did you see what the train did afterwards? Would assume that it would have reversed in the platform.

Something of pet interest over the years..I should add that as mentioned before on DD's that if there is a blockage on the C2C, trains can and have run from Fenchurch Street via the Gas Factory Junction and Bow Junction single line connection to the Liverpool Street - Stratford line, then down via Woodgrange Park to Barking, and vice versa.

LO stables at least one train at East Ham depot now - though I'm sure it could be two based on my observations over the last few months.
As stated already, LO trains can quite easily use platforms 7 & 8 - and will if they've just come from, or are going to East Ham depot. They can even venture just East of Barking station to reverse (using the track which goes from P 7 & 8 towards Upminster) - I've seen it happen at least 10 times now.
