Try this site: www.signalbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=346; the thread points to some of Muppet's picture of the frame at Embsay. I've been in correspondence with one of the co-conspiritors and we'll be having a stab at designing the mechanical locking shortly. The Embsay also has the frames from Bethnal Green (which was never provided with describers) and Holborn.

ISTR that parts of the New Works N frames went to Beaconsfield to control the Bekonscot layout... I *think* you remember wrong; the person I'm in correspondence with (not Muppet) recovered all three frames in person. Having said that, some swine filched the middle portion of 'LB' and I think the shortfall is being made up with 'LC' (rather than 'PD').

I misspoke - I'm not referring to the frames discussed in the OP; I'm referring to another pair of frames from elsewhere on the eastern portions of the Central that were installed during the New Works. Naturally I can never lay my hands on any supporting documentation; all I have is my recollections of reading that at least one of the signal frames at Bekonscot signalling centre is a Westinghouse N frame liberated from a New Works signalling cabin on the Central Line.

Bits of Hainault, I *think*.
Correction: Maryloo is a reasonable chunk of Purley frame.

Didn't the signal box staff brew tea for the train ops and guards in days of yore?

Didn't the signal box staff brew tea for the train ops and guards in days of yore? Part of a signalman's unofficial duties was to ensure a supply of tea and/ or hot water for enginemen.

Aye - that's why I corrected myself.
Maryloo has an 'L' ex-Purley and what looks like a 22 lever 'N' which I'd put money on as coming from Ruislip Gardens.

Have found on the WBS site that 10 levers were taken from the frame before removal from Liverpool Street, they used 10 levers from Bethnal Green. Also found a couple of sites which use/have LT frames. 1. Kidderminster museum Covent Garden. 2. East Herts miniature railway Amwell Junction Hyde Park Corner.
