If the passenger emergency alarm is activated when the train is between stations, the normal course of events is that the train continues to the next station "where help can more easily be given". If there is a converging junction between you and the next station (e.g. Acton Town eastbound or Tower Hill westbound) where you would normally perhaps be held for another train, can you (the T/op) request priority into the station so you can deal with the emergency as soon as possible?

Indeed you can - but the signalling system still takes priority.
If a train has approach locked the area, it must continue. In any case, unless there is a very serious situation which would require tripping a train, a signaller would never take a release (put a stick back to red) in front of a train without confirmation that the driver will not pass it.

if you're on a District, Picc, Central, Jubilee or Northern train you could use the talkback to try and find out what the trouble is whilst waiting at the signal.
