Nobody was correct yesterday, so that one is still running. Today sees four locations and an odd-one-out to find. The pictures are labelled A, B, C and D for ease. Usual thing here, you can go alone or as a team. *Click any image for a larger version*

Well B is definitely the eastbound platform at Mansion House - the brown door is a staff toilet that I have used many times!

Is C possibly on the Bakerloo?

A is Shepherds Bush, former central line station building C is Regents Park D Holloway Road?
B, I think is the odd one, because its not a deep level tube station.

D reminds me of Chalk Farm, but the stairway doesn't seem wide enough.

I'll plump for Russell Square for D. The obvious odd one out would appear to be B as it is sub surface, however, the quiz is notorious for the odd one out being less obvious so I am going to plump for A on the grounds that it was not part of the Yerkes group of Underground lines.

c) is Charing Cross's Bakerloo platforms. The "padding" on the trackside walls gives it away as being a Yerkes station.

I also think D is Russell Square.
The odd one out is either (a) Shepherd's Bush used to have the only standalone station building, out of the lot; (b) Regent's Park is the only one built from new without a station building.

I received a full set of correct answers via PM from jeebeelodo, and a couple of very close guesses as to the odd one out, though no-one has yet spotted this. Answers: Station A: Shepherd's Bush Central Line exterior [Chris M] Station B: Mansion House - westbound OPO monitors [TMBA] Station C: Regent's Park - north end of southbound [ChrisM] Station D: Mornington Crescent - top of stairs from ticket office to platforms. *Click any picture for a larger version* So, just the odd one out to find, and why......

IIRC Mansion House has not had a prolonged closure (for rebuilding work), which the others have.
Another feature which make it the odd one out, is that its the only one with more than two platforms.
BTW, it also was once a terminus.

Your first guess is nearly there, but Mansion House is not the odd one out.

Mansion House has been extensively altered twice, but I don't know if there was a prolonged closure in either case - it used to have 4 platforms!

Shepherd Bush is the odd one out - it is currently closed for extensive refurbishment/rebuilding, while all the others have been in the past for the same reason but are now open again (having been extensively refurbished/rebuilt!).

Shepherd Bush is the odd one out - it is currently closed for extensive refurbishment/rebuilding, while all the others have been in the past for the same reason but are now open again (having been extensively refurbished/rebuilt!). That'll do for me! All have had extended closures for refurbishment, Shepherd's Bush is the only one that hasn't yet reopened. Shepherd's Bush - 2008-02-01 - present Mansion House - 1989-10-29 - 1991-02-11 Regent's Park - 2006-07-10 - 2007-06-13 Mornington Crescent - 1992-10-23 - 1998-04-27 (That is what my answer sheet says, and I am presuming that this is American style dating)

it's not American dating but international year-month-day notation (I can't remember whether this is big-endian or little-endian, but its definitely not the illogical (imo) American middle-endian!). I used this style as it is the unambiguous style used by CULG, my source on this occasion.

I'm so glad it's not just me that thinks the American dating system is wildly illogical!
Just don't get me started on imperial measurements...
