Hi all, Is it physically possible for London Underground to build a crossover from the Outer Rail Circle Line to Platform 3 or 4?

Possibly, but trains can also reverse in platform 2, so it isn't that necessary anyway.

Indeed, from platform 2 they can go to Earls Court, triangle sidings or Gloucester Road.

And just to add, a D stock can also reverse in HSK platform 2

I've done the Triangle sidings move from platform 2 a few times... ;-)

It would be longer than many of the track circuits there (so could prove complicated) - but *I think* it's possible by doing the main line shunt east of Edgware Road (ie, towards Baker Street).

It should be possible, but you would need to stop the job between Praed Street and Baker Street Junctions, to allow banananananananaman64 to clear the site; AFAIK the fact that all of the platform track circuits were adjusted to the rough length of a C stock precludes reversing a D stock while the station is in use (for fear of a deadlock?).

Apparently an owl lives on the station, or so the driver of the train I was on to-day informed us all.

I think its quite a complicated move which requires a lot of holding trains here there and everywhere

Pleased to say the restoration of BEA coach MLL738 is as complete as it can be, now restoring MLL721

I remember 7 car R stock trains going to Edgware Road just after they were introduced. They had to tip out at HSK and run empty to ERd because of the short platforms. I once ran an empty 8 car R stock round the top of the Circle one Sunday after a series of cable fires shut the south side of the DR/Circle.
I believe m/m Wiltshire was the first culprit to take a 7 car to E Rd.!
