From Gensheet: Points failures in Neasden area around noon today saw a couple of southbound Met line trains routed at NEASDEN to southbound Jubilee thence to Finchley Road. Mets on Jub are rare enough these days, never mind the rare crossovers.

I suppose it won't happen at all after the Jubilee is converted to ATO.

If the ATO/signalling system can recognise the presence of a non-ATO train then it shouldn't make a blind bit of difference to an ATO train whether the train in front is ATO or manual. ATO-driven and human-driven trains intermingle freely on the Central Line without incident.

ATO-driven and human-driven trains intermingle freely on the Central Line without incident. But in the future if ATP is used in place of tripcocks, then there is no protection like there is now. Does the PPP contract for the 4 track (TLL) section allow for inter-running capabilities like the Barons Ct to Acton town (MRSSL) does?

Northbound options are now removed considering the crossover on the down line at Finchley Road has been removed!

Is there still the #-over on the WB/NB Met > Jubilee north of Finchley Road or has it been disconnected? . The one just south of Finchley Road that was used by the C Stocks en route to Neasden was removed a while back of course.

NB points removed some time ago, (look at the starter) feathers have been taped over very poorly.

Were these the points that were similar to the Camden Town points that caused the derailment?
