Hi I was e-bay and someone is selling the Jan 2008 pocket map with the misprint at Notting Hill Gate. I never noticed it before but the interchange symbol is missing this will be very valuable in the future. I also have a copy.
The person also told me that there is a Feb 2008 pocket map to replace this which has the following changes:
Correct interchange shown for NHG, Shepherds Bush (Central Line) is shown as closed until October 2008, banner on map showing that Victoria Line closes early Mon-Thur evenings.
If anyone has this map can I see a scan or picture please.

I doubt tube maps woud reach a huge price - simply as so many are made. If you look on Ebay there are people selling the free maps for a starting price of 99p. One "decent" map a 1957 map - which has no bids at present, has a P&P of £2.00. Now one small map, one DL sized envelope and a walk to the post office costs £2

So has the quad royal poster map at the station been updated to reflect the changes in the new pocket map ?

I saw someone carrying a pre 1994 map the other week. Was in bad shape but it didn't have Beckton on it! And they were using it to figure out where they were going.

When work started on the eastbound platform at Ruislip Manor in 2005(?) a quad royal from 85 I think appeared from behind the current map. Interestingly a bus stop outside was also until around this time displaying a map from the early eighties!

Why's it so hard to get an error free map... Shepherd's Bush Overground is shown on a station map I've seen without any notes saying it's not yet open...

Hiya,
I too would like to see a version of this error, if I could, pleasethankyouplease!
I collect the odd map, but mainly pre-Beck ones - I am fascinated by the growth of the system, the way the colour system evolved and the geographical layout. I have a 1919 map (called 'Map of London's Electric Railways') and two from 1938. I also got a copy of the 5th and the 6th editions of the fold-out railway track map published by Quail, which is well cool for following when watching a driver's eye DVD.
<thinks... Ooh! I'll stick on one of said DVDs right now, yay! Just the thing for ignoring having to write an essay!>

A good place to try and pick one up is quiet stations, as old maps stay in the racks until they're used. I'll be visiting a few stations tomorrow so I'll see if I can spot one, if I do I'll try and remember to bring it with me to Acton for you.

There were recently some local area (not Tube) maps on display at Cockfosters... dated 2001; someone must have been having a rummage through cupboards because some for Arnos appeared shortly after and were also put on display, despite the bus services having changed since then.

i also managed to get a map from 1985 off a tourist/passenger told him it was out of date Had that quite a few times at the airport with people coming up to me because they couldn't find it on the map. Neither could I which gives you an indication of how out of date these things were!! DOC

Of course Heathrow itself still has its original enamel line maps, with the Met at Hammersmith and so on. Have they put up a T123-T5 map on the westbound platform yet?
(and have they added T5 to that lovely giant map of the whole line in T4?)

They certainly hadn't done the first of these when I was there a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember whether the one at T4 had been amended or not, bus T123 hadn't been I would be surprised.

Apparently on the back, one of the East end District stations [might be Upney, cant remember] is shown as Zone 2!

Upney is indeed shown as Zone 2 on the back of the November 2007 and January 2008 maps. The February 2008 map shows it correctly as Zone 4. The only other map I have here, the June 2006 edition, also does not have this error.
