It is running a good service with no trains - as there is no WTT in operation.

The live travel news on the TfL website often seems to have mistakes, earlier, it said 'Metropolitan Good service' on the left of the page, and it also said that the Met was suspended between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge! It had been showing 'East London Bus service', and before that, 'planned closure'.

Yes I noticed that too on my yahoo widget! And it is still there now.
By the way just slightly on topic, is there a reason why sometimes they quote "Part closed" and other times they quote "Part suspended" ?

I think part closed is used when it is for planned engineering works, whereas part suspended is when it is due to unplanned service disruption. That live update is quite handy though, I always use it. I saw a station assistant with a little hand held computer looking device which appeared to have a version of the live update on it too. She used it to correct the information white board near the ticket gates.

That is correct and the same obviously goes for planned closure/ suspended.

The so called 'real time' website is great, but rather unreliable. I live a few minutes from the station and check everyday before I leave. It happens quite often that the site mentions Good Service while in the station five minutes later there are delays reported on a number of lines.
As for today, I think that the whole system went tits-up today and due to a rather unfortunate design it defaults to 'good service' instead of 'no information' or something along those lines. It gave a good service to all lines (including ELL) while surely the ELL wasn't running and it mentioned nothing about the severe delays on the Pic this afternoon.

it mentioned nothing about the severe delays on the Pic this afternoon. I thought that how could the Piccadilly have been running a 'Good service' if the Met was suspended between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge.

It is now saying 'Bus service' for the ELL. That's what it has said since the ELL closed apart from this last week...odd.
