Hi all, I was watching TV the other day and there was an advert for the new Narnina movie - Prince Caspian. In the advert I noticed one scene was filmed on a Marylebone station platform. Although, I cannot vividly recall what map there was on the wall of the tunnel in the station, but I do think it was a Northern Line map. Or it could have been the Bakerloo Line map when the line also ran to Stanmore. When the camera turned to the characters in the station, I saw 'Great Central' Has anyone else seen this advert? Oh yeh, I think the train that came into the station was a 1938ts but I am not sure Uzair

The trailer actually shows 'Strand' although I agree that when there is a close-up of the children's faces it looks a little as though it says 'Great Central'. Possibly just because we are more used to seeing that. From what I (vaguely) recall of the Narnia chronicles the Caspian book would have taken place in the 1940s so 1938s would have been brand spanking new!!! Trailer is here if anyone else is interested in seeing it: disney.go.com/disneypictures/narnia/

We saw the film...the beginning and end have "STRAND" and clearly the train that runs through is CGI. I wondered if they used Aldwych? The outside of the station was filmed in Praha/Prague and is a mock-up. Nice cars though..I am no expert but suggest that they trawled around for period cars from Europe?

That train...seems to be formed of all motors... Standard stock NDMs, perhaps?

The production team have tried to make the platform look as authentic as possible. Any idea on location? The Yerkes tile pattern is repeated across the whole platform so maybe some CGI on an existing station?

There must be a steampunk or brassgoggles www.brassgoggles.co.uk/brassgoggles/ version of ATO on this line as it seems to be running a pretty intensive service! Stopping pattern seems to be worse than Holland Park in the days of the Ealing stock though.

I wondered if they used Aldwych? It certainly isn't Aldwych. Not sure if they used an actual station or just built one in a studio, as they did with the James Bond movie, as it is easier to mess around with the cameras (etc) that way.

Guess in the same vein as the cameras the CGI used in the tube shots would be easier to do on a studio set just make everything green. There'll be a making of in the DVD which will surely be out by Christmas
