a while ago i was at barking early one morning when i saw one of these c stock trains on the w/b which is induced into the circle, as it was a warm morning i stayed and watch quite a few of them come and go and i can i noticed,
destination blinds had a pot-porri of "CIRCLE LINE", "BAKER STREET", "HIGH STREET KEN", "BLANK" or even worst "HAMMERSMITH VIA SHEPHERDS BUSH" when the set number was obviouly not H_C working!!!!
D.V.As not working
car diagrams show H+C line which is alright for inner rail workings from barking, but not for outer rail working via the district line
i did board an outer rail train up to tower hill which had circle line on the front and at some stations people were asking me where is it going and i told them that it was a district line train, but they still did not beleive me

Bear in mind that the general public won't know what set numbers equate to which services I'm taking an estimated guess here: Perhaps the Baker Sts were Circles via LS, whereas the HSKs were Circles via Victoria?

i know that the public would not understand set numbers, but here are a few solutions for these trains
1, train blinds should display "KINGS CROSS" for inner rail workings and "EMBANKMENT" for outer rail working via the district and then change to circle line at aldgate east
2, d.v.a should follow the above patten as in "THIS IS A DISTRICT LINE TRAIN TO EMBANKMENT"

The trains are supposed to show Baker Street for inner rail Circle working until the train leaves Aldgate East and South Ken if Outer rail, but for ease drivers tend to put up Circle from Barking.

If I was driving I would just say the route the train was taking! If it was an outer rail train it would be all stations to Tower Hill then a Circle Line train via Victoria!

I've never been given guidance on this, and never seen instructions for trains worked onto the Circle from outside. Usually just put the blind up as a Circle and make PAs. In the morning there are a load of Aldgates from Hammersmith. That can't be done on the DVA either. Likewise neither can the South Ken and Gloucester Rd reversers.

That's new to me. I'll investigate further.

Yep likewise. I've had a play with it and its all just Circle, H&C or District.
