Hi all,
I was on a website which has quite a lot of London Underground train announcements, e.g. where the train terminates, this station is.., next station etc. Anyway, on the Edgware Road to Wimbledon District Line announcement, I clicked on the arrow between HSK and Earl's Court (so it was the next station announcement) and it happened to be the old one on the C Stock which was :
"The next station is Earl's Court. This is a District Line train, to Wimbledon. Change for the Piccadilly Line and District Line services to other destinations. Alight, for Earl's Court Exhibition Centres." Great! I havn't heard that announcement for many years now, so it brings back an old memory.
Does anyone prefer the above one to the one now? When was this one taken off and replaced with the current one?
