There's an indicator behind the ticket hall (i.e. at the top of the staircases) which tells passengers which platform the next Earl's Court train is leaving from.
However, there's no equivalent on the inner rail platform, so passengers who've arrived on a Circle (because there's been no Wimbleware in sight) have to schlep up the stairs to find out which set of stairs to go down again... given that the staircases at HSK aren't exactly too big for the amount of use they get, isn't there a H&S case (as well as passenger convenience) for repeating this information on platform one as well?

That sign for the first High St Ken sign is fed by Programme Machine and operates as per the WTT roll. Thus the wiring is very old. I don't know if the data could be transmitted onto the DMIs though? Whilst a good idea, I doubt the cost/benefit to customer ration could be met for it. Of course as well as the usual oyster, good [sic] service waffle, station staff should do PAs mentioning the first train out if there are gaps (which High St Kensington are good at.)

When I've been at HSK, I've heard announcements saying which platform the first train to Earl's Court departs from.

that sign is fed from S4 which also puts the t/d's up i wouldnt of thought it could be wired upto the dot matrix aswell but like mansion house the signal op could have a button on his desk to cut in on the dot matrix (i think that how it works) as there is a arrow for the bay road on the dot matrix's which show the first w/b train
