Hey all, I was just reading the New Stock section and there are mentions of the Triangle Sidings closing down when the S Stock is delivered. Is this true? If so, is it due to the length of the sidings compared to the length of the S Stock coming in? Also, if they are due to close, what will be done with all the space between High Street Kensington and Earl's Court? Thanks Uzair

Not just Triangle Sidings - the rumours also include Farringdon, Edgware Road, and parts of Ealing depot, Upminster depot, Whitechapel, Barking, Hammersmith Met and Parsons Green.
As for what will happen to the space, who knows - it would have been a good spot for the SSL IECC, given how hard it is to reach.

If 7 car trains are introduced then these locations and a few more (e.g. putney bay) will become redundent! Personally I think we need 7 car trains, otherwise there will not a step forwards! The Triangle sidings are an interesting talking point!

Thanks Uzair The land where Triangle sidings is, is worth a fortune, I'm sure someone will buy it, possibly even Sainsbury's who have a store above. Not just Triangle Sidings - the rumours also include Farringdon, Edgware Road, and parts of Ealing depot, Upminster depot, Whitechapel, Barking, Hammersmith Met and Parsons Green. I don't see any part of Ealing Common or Upminster Depots closing. The others are all possibilities though.

Build a basement level with more shelf space? To be more specific, several roads in both depots are supposed to be too short to stable S7s. You would know much better than I about the short roads at both sites.
