Hey everyone, this is my first post ;D The Jubilee Line has to be my favourite line out of all the LU, and so because of this, I research into the Jubilee Line quite a lot. I have found out that although there is a scissor crossover (lXl) to the west of the station, why do Jubilee Line trains HARDLY terminate short at Canary Wharf and if there are any trains terminating short of Stratford, it would be at North Greenwich. Is this because of the O2? OK so maybe trains do sometimes terminate there, but that is only once or twice a year and that is during engineering works between Stratford and Canary Wharf, which is only like once or twice a year. I feel that CW is a slightly better place to terminate, because of the DLR connection at Heron Quays and Canary Wharf DLR and also because of all the commercial business kind of stuff. It might not make sense, but I'm just keen to find out why they terminate at NG instead of CW Thanks, Uzair

Probably as North Greenwich has a dedicated terminating platform, meaning the service isn't disrupted whilst trains are tipped out... There are other crossovers on all other lines that aren't that often needed...

Agree with Edwin, also there is a train crew depot at North Greenwich as well. Due to disruption on the Jubilee earlier tonight, two trains reversed at Canary Wharf, when such moves are done though, both roads are held up.
Welcome to the forum by the way!

If a train is reversed E-W (with no stepping back) at Canary Wharf it will block the platform in which it is reversing for 6 minutes. This is why it is not used for timetabled movements!

They should just tell the driver to run down to the other end as quickly as possible, like that driver on the Aldwych shuttle once did when he decided to see how many times he could go up and down the line in one hour!
