Aah... the MTR-perhaps the most efficient metro I have ever ridden. Modern, clean punctual and fast. World class. Only Singapore's MRT comes close.

Except the Singapore MRT doesn't allow photos, whilst the Hong Kong MTR thankfully does! I was very impressed with the MTR. Frequent, fast, reliable, and very clean.

Really? I took photos the last time I went. Do you use a huge, bulky, professional camera? I was never accosted for taking photos anywhere save for one occasion on the Beijing Subway.

I'd say the Moscow Metro was more efficient, they have higher frequencies...
But I doubt that it operates that smoothly, I can't imagine with such high frequencies the journeys between stations having no stops in tunnels... But i've never been on it. So it depends what you mean by "efficient".
