All lines blocked into L St tonight due to "problems" with the new ELLX bridge which has structural issues apparently.
This means serious carnage for the peak(s) unless resolved PDQ - not just in from Stratford - but for the District and Victoria lines too....

Rather worrying . . . doesn't sound like the kind of thing they'll be able to fix overnight.
Liverpool Street commuters must be cursing the ELL extension - there was, of course, the overrun in the new year and now this!

nationalrail.co.uk, have updated the service incident page to reflect that disruption might continue into Thursday!
Oh dear... I think a slight deliberate detour that way en route to work, might be a necessity! [sly grin]

Am on half term at the mo, so may also pop down to see how it all unfolds. Let's hope the Central has a good day!

Were I not busy all day doing archaeology, I'd be paying a visit to Stratford also - do take some pictures if you can.

Just heard, it might be lunchtime before Liverpool St re-opens. Massive pinch of salt there! They are quoting 14:00, but how confident are they?

Last nights "partial collapse" is this mornings "debris from the site". 14:00 is being touted as the time services will resume, but we've been here before.
I was at LLS last night on the 19:32 metro waiting to depart when we were warned of an "incident" that was disrupting services. This disruption then became a suspension so it was off to LUL to get home. By rights I should have been home around 20:15, but with the extended journey and 25 min wait for a bus at DAH, I didn't get home until 21:20.
Not best pleased!

BBC London have just offered 14:00 in the 08:45 travel bulliten. I'm staying home until 10:00 and then I'll use LUL to get into town. Hopefully all will be "normal" for tonight.

I got off the Central Line w/b at Stratford this morning at about 9.30 and it was mayhem. We temporarily weren't allowed down the stairs at the front end of the platform, and it got very congested.
Central Line trains were flowing out of the tunnel on the westbound, so I got back on - the frequency of trains in rush hour is very good, especially when there are problems elsewhere.

Crowd control was implemented at Stratford from about 7am - the worst period was from 8.15am to 9.00am. Certain trains were detrained at Leytonstone, then ran empty to Stratford where they picked up passengers again. This was an attempt to clear some of the crowds, but it made the trains after very packed - they were jammed when they arrived at Stratford.
Bethnal Green was a joke - the platform was packed, and hardly anyone was able to board a westbound train. A number of people I saw gave up!
