Seems to have gone unmentioned, but a new Bakerloo timetable came into operation on Sunday 18th May. The main change is that the trains which used to detrain at Willesden Junction and then run empty to Stonebridge Park now run in service to the latter.
Are there any other changes in this timetable?

I suppose Stonebridge Park has got at least one staff member all day now...

Doing detrainments at Stonebridge can't be much fun. Has anyone else seen the "place of safety" for station staff on the down platform? When the job goes up the wall they must get absolutely slaughtered sitting in there.

Not too sure about Stonebridge, but Queens Park and Harrow have an Sa/SS3 all day.

Saw a Bakerloo train at Kilburn High Road today, on crew training no doubt! Also saw a train at Harrow & Wealdstone which had a middle driving car with a red end! The red was darker than normal, but I've not seen that before-are there any double ended 4 car 72s?

When the service on the main Bakerloo i.e. Queens Park to Elephant is having problems, they run a Harrow to Queens Park service, which runs empty to Kilburn High Road to reverse. So, the answer I'd give is "from time to time." Maybe someone will know if there are any scheduled moves there in the current timetable?

I'm reasonably sure that there is a booked 'rusty rail' trip out there either in the early morning or close to the end of service.

On Mon - Fri there are two booked runs to Kilburn High Rd. In the morning train 747 (1148/54) which runs as required and in the evening train 242 (2108/13). Then as many more as you like during a service suspension down the tube.

I don't think there were double ended 4 car 72TS units, all four car units had a DM with a white end, except the one with a UNDM. There wouldn't be any point in double ended units on the Bakerloo line, because the Bakerloo runs 7 car trains, and the 3 car units only have a cab at one end.

The half-red front (actually stuck on) is to allow 4-car test train/stock transfer trips on Network Rail as LU's Safety Case (or whatever it is) requires all LU trains to have red or half red front. A photo of one of these cars will appear in Underground News.

requires all LU trains to have red or half red front. So if the Yellow Pages C stocktrain was around now, it would have a red front? And how much red is there on the front of 1992TS?

Only if those trains are required to run on Notwork Rail Tracks. As neither were planned to do so or will do so under their own power the requirement in respect of the C stock and '92TS is inapplicable.

The Yellow Pages C Stock was a) not supposed to go onto the District, and b) certainly not onto any Network Rail parts. Not much red on a 92TS, and even less on Sarah Siddons, but neither operate over Network Rail. Yes "Sarah" has run on the SR, but that was in BR days. The red / half-red front is an LU exception from NR "Group Standards" (I think) and we're just lucky they don't insist on LU splashing yellow all over the cab.

I should have made it clear that this only refers to LU passenger trains when on NR. The 1972 Mk1 on the Aldwych branch could still run on LU with a silver front though ironically has gained a red front, I think to look more modern when used for filming.

And of course the Yellow Pages train, like TransPlant stock, had a yellow front!

It makes it look like a unrefurbished 73TS! I saw one that had a full red end - it was definately a middle DM because it was in the middle of a train and there ae no double-ended 72TS.

[...] How often do Bakerloo trains make it down to Kilburn High Road? its a reversing point and the rusty rail movement means we go there at least once a day, there used to be a shunt/reversing box there, for the old sleet locos at night
