If you don't know about these two cars I'll tell you! They were built in 1925 and were prototypes for the T stock athough they had saloon interiors. They were the most powerful cars in Europe at the time, each motor having 275hp! They ran with the remains of the hustle train (until it was scrapped in 1941) called S stock [wonder if they had more seats?] After the war, they formed a 3 car unit on the East London Line with the 1924 control trailer in between them! What I don't understand is why they were used on the ELL? The rest of the line was run by District H stock (built 1910-14) and the set was scrapped in 1950 before the H stock? How did this set run on the ELL? Were some of its motors isolated? They must have been very very powerful otherwise! Any ideas? Here is one of the beasts..... www.ltmcollection.org/photos/photo/photo.html?_IXMAXHITS_=1&_IXSR_=yj1bLtkf6Mh&IXsummary=results/results&IXsearch=MW%20Stock&_IXFIRST_=2&IXenlarge=i0000baj
