So what happened last night. I was on a train just outside Ealing Broadway which reversed to west Acton. When i eventually got to Ealing i saw 2 large ERU trucks in attendance. Looked exciting....

I think the TfL website said it was a signal failure but I don't know any details.

Was a track circuit failure, this caused one of the signals to remain at danger, drivers applied the rule. Then a set of points failed to normalise.

It was originally feared that the suspension would last until COT, however they restored service just in time for the last couple of trains to run. Got the "all clear" message just in time to lamp out the last w/b Ealing train from my station. Interesting how EAB passengers get quite irate when there's a problem, despite being advised that they could take a bus from Hanger Lane, use the District Line, BR from Paddington, or walk...

I wasn't complaining I jsut didd't know where to go from west Acton (ended up at quite beautiful North Ealing)
