I've been sorting out some Northern Line (Highbury Branch) WTTs.
WTT 26C was issued on the 12th July 1971, WTT A127 was issued on the 13th November 1972.
Does anyone know why the leap in numbers? 26C follows the Northern City numbering - could it be that a 100 was added to the Highbury Branch ones (as the Northern Line proper was running to WTTs 27, A27, B27, C27 during this sort of period)?
Obviously there was a Northern (Highbury) WTT 27 issued at some point prior to 13/11/72 and after 12/6/71 - A127 is next, followed in chronological order by 128 (10/2/75), as far as I can work out.

From my files I have -
WTT 26A - 05.10.70 WTT 26B - 04.04.71 WTT 26C - 12.07.71
then
WTT A127 - 13.11.72 (NC WTTs from then numbered '100' higher than the Northern Line series) WTT A128 - 10.02.75 (the last before closure)
Northern Line WTTs around the same time include -
WTT 26 - 05.10.70 WTT A27 - 13.11.72 WTT 28 - 05.10.74 (Sats) WTT 29 - 01.12.74 (Suns) WTT 30 - 25.11.74 (MF) WTT 31 - 31.05.75 (Sats) WTT 32 - 10.01.77 (MF)
For thre Vic Line in the same period, I have -
WTT 5 - 05.10.70 WTT 6 - 04.04.71 WTT 7 - 12.07.71 WTT A8 - 13.11.72 WTT 9 - 15.02.75 (Sats) WTT 10 - 01.04.75

Thank-you for the synthesis of information - I've got most of those WTTs and I thought the Northern City was Northern plus 100.
Interesting that there's only an A8 for the Vic. Does this mean that Vic WTT 8 never existed - which I suspect is the case.
I've also got 2 separate editions of Northern 28 one handwiritten and printed and one fully typeset. No obvious diffrence between the two apart from just the typesetting.

The handwritten ones were the draft copies with all the crossings out and additions. Our first copy of WTT47 at Hainault was like that. These days now WTT's are done on computer, I don't suppose they exist anymore.

Ah, now you're talking! There are handwritten proof copies (from the TTO/Scheduling Services/whatever modern anodyne title currently applies) around (I've got a couple; and in one example of a Bakerloo proof I'd like to put a name to the red pen); there are also printed handwritten WTTs and TTNs - for example Silver Jubilee services, some (Long ) Good Fridays and printed "C" services, as in prefix 'C' not suffix 'C' - e.g. District C96 was handwritten and printed but never typeset. (I'd better stop now otherwise AI will complain)
