Some major engineering work coming up between now and New Year.
Central:14th,21st October no service Liverpool St-Leytonstone engineering work at Stratford(second WB platform?)
8th,9th,15th,16th December no service West Ruislip-North Acton track replacement Northolt.

District:6th,7th,13th,14th,27th,28th October no service Whitechapel-Earl's Ct,no Circle Line,boosted H & C to Barking track replacement Victoria.
3rd,4th November, no service Mansion House-Whitechapel,no Circle Line,no H & C Liverpool St-Barking,no Metropolitan Moorgate-Aldgate engineering work at Minories Junction.
17th,18th November no service West Ken-Richmond/Acton Town bridge work Turnham Grn & Gunnersbury.
24th,25th November no service West Ken-Richmond/Acton Town points & crossings work Turnham Grn,no Piccadilly Hammermith-Acton Town.
8th,9th December no service Tower Hill-Whitechapel,no Circle Line,no H & C Liverpool St-Barking,no Metropolitan Moorgate Aldgate signalling work Aldgate & Algate East.

Jubilee:22nd,23rd,29th,30thSeptember 6th,7th,27th October,3rd,4th,10th,11th,18th November no service Wembley-Stanmore track replacement,3rd platform work Stanmore & surveys.
20th October,24th,25th November,15th,16th December no service Stratford-North Greenwich signalling work.
2nd December no service Stratford-Canary Wharf signalling work.
8th,9th December,12th,13th January no service Wembley-Stanmore trial operations between Wembley & Stanmore.
8th January no service Stratford-Green Pk signalling work Stratford-Westminster.

Metropolitan:22nd,23rd September no service Amersham/Chesham-Harrow & Watford-Harrow track replacement Moor Pk-Ricky,signalling work Northwood/Northwood Hills.
6th,7th October,24th,25th November no service Amersham/Chesham-Harrow,Northwood-Watford trackwork between Watford East & North junctions.
10th,11th November no service Amersham/Chesham-Harrow,Watford-Harrow track replacement Moor Pk & signalling work Watford & Croxley,also Platform 1 at Uxbridge out of use refurbishment work.
1st,2nd December no service Wembley-Uxbridge/Watford track replacement Northwick Pk,Uxbridge platform 1 out of use refurbishment work.
8th,9th,15th,16th December no service Amersham/Chesham-Harrow,Watford-Harrow track replacement work at Pinner & North Harrow.
Boxing Day line suspended signalling work at Harrow,also no Chiltern Line,replacement bus service Northwood-Wembley via Rayner's Lane.Piccadilly running to Uxbridge.
27th,28th December no service Wembley-Northwood/Uxbridge signalling work at Harrow,boosted Piccadily service to Uxbridge

H & C/Circle:20th,21st October track replacement work Farringdon,Metropolitan suspended Baker St-Aldgate,Circle supended Baker St-Liverpool St(north side),H & c suspended east of Edgware Rd.

Plus the usual early finish weekdays & various weekend suspensions for the Victoria Line upgrade.

More likely related to the bridge over the North London Line - which is third platform related.

Just out of curiosity, will slab track and suicide pits be considered for the in-platform sections of the Central at Stratford Regional? I always found it surprising that there were no suicide pits at such a busy station - or is it difficult to install suicide pits in open-air stations?

Errr... no.

Why should it? The track doesn't need relaying for the provision of platform 3a.

I was just curious, for the reasons noted above.

Do you know if the track will be relaid anytime soon? It's one of the few open-air segments of the Central that doesn't have flatbottom rail.
