Does anyone know what has happened at South Ken (customer incident) to close the circle line this evening?

It resumed to severe delays at 1912.
When it appears on the SM page, I will let you know.

A blind customer walked off the platform! They were retrieved okay. Only just from what I hear... train stopped a matter of feet from them... must of been one hell of a scare for the driver... didn't stop them booking on again yesterday though!

I imagine it was a hell of a scare for everyone!

Yeah, must have scared everybody! On the other hand, if I was driving a tube train, and somebody decided to do a one-under (deliberate), then I wouldn't be too scared, because I'd know that they were taking their own life. It's good that the blind customer was alright and didn't get hit.

I think you may find that you would be very upset and distressed if an extremely unfortunate incident of that kind happened to you, and i'm not sure I completely follow your logic with regard to it being all right because they were killing themselves. Having read on here accounts from LU staff of the effects of a one under, it is something which will not easily be put to the back of anybody's mind who witnesses one, especially the driver of the train involved.

I can see where Max is coming from in that if someone decides to jump in front of your train, there's not really a lot you can do other than hit the brakes and hope you don't hit him/her. I guess different drivers react differently: some come back to work quite quickly, some never drive a train again.
