You may think i am a health and safety officer but i have noticed a problem concerning the 1995 and 1996 stock The problem is door caches, the interconnecting doors are always flinging open i was on a jubbly train when the door swung open i wen't to close it but i couldn't the door was fully open this could cause a safety hazard and if someone were to fall (god forbid it will) and slip through the doorway there could be a very nasty accident of even if someone were to try and close it something nasty could happen this allways does at camden town cross over from bank branch to edgeware branch im' just concerned about safety especially on paked tubes

The problem is, I have found that the door requires someone to lean against it while the handle is effectively rammed home... it is a very tight fit...
However, having a looser fit may mean the door catch will rattle in its escutcheon.
Also recently had the door lock fail completely on a 92ts; because the J door opens into the cab, every time the brake came on, it would fly open... I finally solved it, temporarily, by placing my bag against the door, and then made a plea with the 'old man upstairs' to have a replacement train.

Might help if staff using connecting doors when reversing shut them soundly... i've seen trains going into service with them flapping about...

Last week I saw a 67 stock in service with the M door on an inner cab wide open. Probably not dangerous, but an odd sight.

That might be asking just a little too much, but there are some conscientious staff that do ensure they are closed when leaving depot or turn round points! Last week I saw a 67 stock in service with the M door on an inner cab wide open. Probably not dangerous, but an odd sight. Hmm. Very odd.

I've seen many a end-car door fly open randomly while under way, but most of the time they slam themselves shut without any trouble.

I've only seen a car-end door come open randomly once, I think it was on the Central Line. I know I did get up and shut it after a couple of minutes.

I can remember the J-doors swinging open on the 1959 Stock on the Picc before they put the locking mechanism in, and so I used to shut the door myself!

I'm suprised that these fitted to the doors: (Communication Door, EDI comeng, Motor car) If the door decides to fling open it doesn't go far.

Also if the frame end of the arm becomes detached, it will spring round with sufficient force to go straight through a plasterboard wall, and probably make at least a serious dent in a train car. Once the vandals discover this...

Once the vandals discover this... So stock design engineers need to "think like a chav" when they design interiors.
