Train radio fun on 29/04?

So there was some fun and games with the train radios on 29/04?
Got stuck at Marble Arch trying to get to Mile End... not easy without the Central line.

They suspended W&C as well suggesting it was a stock issue not a line issue?
Both lines were down for about 4/5 hours. Anyone have any further info?

A power surge occured on the Central knocking out the radio as well as the CCTV system. All trains were detrained and ran out of service.

When I made a journey in the evening a good service was being advertised online and at the station. It took 35 minutes to get from Debden to Stratford (35 minutes usually gets you to Chancery Lane/Holborn), and the driver of the train advised us there was still significant ongoing disruption "due to an earlier communications failure that suspended the service" as we waited our turn for a platform at Leytonstone.
