TfL website is currently showing severe delays on the District Line due to "an earlier derailment at Ealing Common depot" - BBC London are saying it's suspended though so presume the service is only just recovering.

Hope no-one we know was involved. I read about Dave's derailment on stabling and thought it was handled pretty well by District side... but pretty badly by Piccadilly. Presumably a similar cause this time?

The train derailed just inside the west end of the depot on the inside roads, only just clear of the outlet signal. It's quite a bad one so I have heard! Still being fixed gone 7am, some six hours later! The suspension message was due to the trains being offered for service only able to leave from the east (Acton) end. 3 trains were also outstabled at Ealing Broadway and ran empty to Upminster at SOT, as they were not prepped for passenger service. The first passenger train from Ealing Broadway had to come ex High Street Kensington. The Olympia service is suspended as its trains are cancelled, as are a large number of other trains! Hope no-one we know was involved. ;D ;D ;D I read about Dave's derailment on stabling and thought it was handled pretty well by District side... but pretty badly by Piccadilly. Presumably a similar cause this time?

Apparently the shoe fell off, fell under the wheel and de-railed the train I had to take one of the out-stabled EAB's to UPM then it was cancelled as was my next train hence I was indoors by 10am
