Can anyone who participated in the Northern Line centenary special on the 24th June throw any light on a new history book (cover price 9.95) which was to be included in the price of the ticket and distributed then - the title and publisher and whether it is now commercially available ? Thanks in advance.

It is entitled "The last link-The first 30 years of the CCE&H Railway"
It is written by Mike Horne, and published by Nebulous books, which he has owned since the death of Peter Bancroft.
I don't think it is in the shops yet, despite being on sale at the Centenary weekend [for £5 instead of the usual £9.95] where as you correctly state, it was given as part of the ticket price to participants on the 1938ts railtour.

I hope that I can get this book by mail order to Australia. Otherwise I'll have to wait till next time I return to the UK.
