After joining the Friends of London Transport Museum in March, the wife tells me whilst doing the books that the cheque still hasn't been cashed. Does it usually take this long for them to cash a cheque. Although some people may see this as an opportunity for free membership i personally feel it will depriving the museum of valuable funding. Perhaps i better contact the Museum.

They cashed mine a couple of days ago. When I went on the Uxbridge Centenary tour, it was a long time before they cashed the cheque. Dont worry Darren, they will cash it, it will just take time.

Some people wait until they have a few cheques in hand before banking them - you have six months to present a cheque.

Thanks Guys. I'll give it six months then contact them if it doesn't get cashed.

Also, remember that cheques can take up to a week to clear after being presented at the bank.

A week? One I cashed in took almost two weeks in the end, although predictably the money went straight out of the other persons account...

Actually some banks will refuse to honour a cheque after three months now. If LTM have held on to them for too long and been refused they might not contact you about it. You might want to get in touch to enquire.

The LTM cash cheques en-bulk at the end of each month... don't fret about it!
