For those of us who like their thrash English Electric, I can reccomend Locomaster Profiles release 'Double Scotch', a 'wired for sound' cabride, taking 40 145 from Aberdeen to Kyle of Lochalsh, over four hours of class 40 action.

If I may also add, the same company are now starting to re-release re-mastered DVDs of some of their earlier works. 'All The Way' (55 022 Kings X - Edinburgh) is the next release. This will be followed by 'Unplugged' (37 901 Llanwern - Ebbw Vale, minus silencer on exhaust!). All good stuff, highly reccomended.

I appologise right now for ruining your copy of 'all the way' by having my bugle out the window as 22 crosses into proper Geordieland. 'Double Scotch' should be purchased now.

Just ring up Locomaster on 01753-545888 during office hours, then you wont have to see that miserable bloke in Motor Books.

Okey dokey. Funny you mentioned that David, I bought a book on the VW Camperbus, the old Split Screen versions, of course, there was I in my usual Cyberdog attire, and he looks at me with raised eyebrows, says nothing as he takes the £20 note, rings it in the till, gives me the change, dinnae say a word, not even a thank you very much good bye. Maybe I should have selected summat more casual from the wardrobe, but then if I did that, I'd look like a chav...

You wear what you like mate, that guy in Motorbooks treats everyone as badly, no matter how you are dressed. I've been in numerous times in my First group kit, shirt out, shades on when I was on the good 'ol 25 road. I once spent £100 on videos in one go, he still looked at me like I was something he'd just trodden in.

I have that kyle dvd with the "40" very good it is. Have the 73 doing the run to Dover with the tpo. Also the "47" on the last cross country run. Have the "56" on the coal train, Black and blue. Finally have the "37" on the s&c. Want the binliner one to come out. Dont like videos. Motor books, went there for ages, guy was quite rude, so stopped going. Have used it again for the last 2 years, rude bloke has gone, staff are not overly friendly , but not rude either. Pm me a description of the rude bloke David or T/op 92

Ian Allan are ok, sometimes they are ok, but dont go out of their way to be friendly, or they are really friendly. Spend a fortune in there. About 2 years ago, spent £300 in one go. Assistant didnt know what to think.

Think the most I have spent there in one go, in Ian Allan, is £175 summat or other. Guy gave me a really odd look, puts the books and videos into three bags, drops a out of context comment about LU Staff NOT expecting me to hear it, then gives me £5 voucher for next time! Cheeky b***er....

BUMP!
Their film showing the 31s on the binliner from Northolt-Calvert should be available now or shortly.
Later this year, they are doing a [Paxman engined!!] 125 run from Aberdeen-Edinburgh, and a 56 from Boulby.
