Writing a book on the Central Line and need photos (oldish) on stations, trains, buildings, etc. I need another 60 photos to make up 180 photos in total. All will be past & present. or do you know any one who has a collection of photos I can contact.

Do ask the London Undrground Railway Society library as they have some nice old photos.

Photo collection improving for proposed book for Central Line but still need more of the past photos, especially the west end of the line. The publisher has taken interest and wants me to go ahead with it - hoping for publication next year. Trying to avoid the photos that we often see in railway books over and over again.

Kept my appointment to visit a museum in Essex today to gather more photos for my proposed book. Addmittedly, some of the photos were very old - hoping to make book more interesting and I don't think some of the photos have been shown in publication before. Still have more photos of the eastend of the Central Line - still need westend of line or in tunnel sections. Still trying to avoid LT Museum, because of the high cost including reproduction fee for each photo. about £70 per photo. You would think they would be pleased to see future publications of the underground and would help the author, not to deter him. - Yet they would sell the book in the museum shop and make a profit that way.

Robb join the club! I have this problem time and time again.
I have never seen any photos of any work done at Denham. Also ask LURS for their photos of steam at Epping and also the ACV railcars on the Epping-Ongar. I gather that they were also used on the Chesham shuttle.
