The events of the past few days have resulted in a tightening of security, presumably.
I'm thinking of going out tomorrow morning and taking some photos of the stations to the north of the Piccadilly Line for my own personal use and reference. If I was to do this, would it be advisable to go up to the gateline and ask the SA for permission, explaining that it was personal use only, and would they be likely to refuse it?

I would ask, just to be safe... nothing worse than a jittery SA/SS and they call out the BTP...

Should not be a problem, I was out Saturday all day on the Picc, got asked by a few SA's, mainly at stations I visit a lot though so I was known. But yeah, to be safe, and especially as its a weekday, it may be worth asking. And I'll be sure to say hi If I see you, gotta go to Heathrow yet again!

If you see a female CSA at Oakwood, give me a wave.. As for security tightening, we were asked not to stage any practice evacuations until further notice, and there's a few other things that were mentioned - though I didn't see/hear any specific about photography.

Ah right. I shall be up there tomorrow morning about 9-10ish. If I see a female SA I shall indeed wave!

make sure you touch in and out correctly, otherwise that'll be another £4 refund you'll need, plus a wait of 274 minutes of the telephone!
You are position number three hundred and seventy seven IN THE QUEUE...

Indeed, there'd be the 2 hour thing. Although I heard that touching out then touching in streight away can cause problems? May go out, stop off at the local newsagents, then head back and touch in.

Just wondered as its my local. There don't seem to be many female staff there though. In-fact, I'm sure, if it is you I've seen before, your the only one, or at most one of two/three?

From what I gather, there's a few rostered (ie, normally only work at that station) female staff - one works in the ticket office and one does CSA duties. The rest of the female staff who work there are reserves, so we might there a few weeks at a time, and then not again for ages, so it's a bit harder to pin us down, as it were. There's also occasionally a female supervisor in for meal break duties and the like, although I think all the rostered supervisors there are male.

That's really odd, as I went down through Arnos at least 5 times a week, for 8 months, and I must of only seen one of them! Apart from her, who I think was the SS, I've only seen one other female staff member, a couple of Wednesday's back.

If you are doing lots of photography and hanging around on stations I would advise getting a LU Photography Permit from LUL. It is free as long you stress it is for amateur non-commercial use, and lasts for a month. You need to supply a photo of yourself, and provide details of what you want you photograph. They like you to contasct the SS when photographing stations, and I never had a problem with them saying no. I had to sign in and out at two stations though as a visitor.

Did you have success at any of the other stations at all?

I took a few photos at CFS and the only person around that I could see was behind the ticket office counter, so coudln't really ask him. Then went down to Oakwood, nipped out and had a wander around, then on going back in asked an SA (not undergroundgal) if I could take photos, to which I was told I had to get a permit from Customer Services even if it was noncommercial . Also got a few later from Acton Town cafe of the back of a D78 car a few inches from the glass!

The woman was the supervisor, the male the other CSA, and me was the dumpy brown haired one. *g*

Ah aye *scowls at woman*, I didn't want to say anything to you in case they thought badly of you (communicating with evil people who want to take photos and all!).
