Anyone seen their films? They use a combination of archive film as well as present day footage. There is one on the district which features the co/cp stock as well as the q stock. The second is called "bakerloo to stanmore and watford" and features the 38s as well as the 72s[mk 1 and 2]. Their next one was piccadilly past and present, then central p&p and then northern p&p They make the odd error here and there, but otherwise they are very good. They hardly use the word incidentally or etc!

Gents I personally found the "All change at Earls Court" narrator to have the most monotonous & one monotone voices I have ever heard - it almost sounded like he was wearing an anorak To me the "and now we can see x stock arriving at y station" method of narration is boring to put it mildly...... any narrator should be passionate about the subject and should sound at least slightly interested The background music was also a little too low budget and inappropriate and detracted from what was quite good footage. Ok, perhaps I'm being over critical, but I do feel that railway video's/DVD's need to at least enter the 2nd half of the 20th century..... they are way too cliched and do little to promote anything else than the common perception of trainspotters!!!

Yeah, got a few of thier prods.
Central P&P, Northern P&P, Pic P&P, ACAEC, Bakerloo Memories or whatever its called. I've found it's best to mute the sound with ACAEC to avoid Mr Monotonous. Still, not as bad as Train Crazy Southern EMU memories - "here...we...have...a...unit...at...brighton. it...is...a... you get the general idea.

It sounds like this bloke makes Mr Curling very interesting then in comparison! I agree with your sentiments about Rail Vids needing to lift their game in terms of quality (especially considering they're normally much more expensive than a Hollywood flick from HMV, Virgin Megastore or Amazon). The Americans seem to do the best of the lot, though Vid125 for all its annoyances still turns out a fairly good product IMO.

I have just watched Met line past and present, it is spread over 2 discs, the first covering the history of the line, the other, how the line is today.
Highlights include a 1910 cabride from Baker Street to Uxbridge, Steam services, railtours, steam on the Met etc.
Its pretty good, could have been more interesting, but in all, would recommend it.
Doesnt show the peak Chesham trains!

This is their latest release, looks good, will get it laterin the week, and then give a review. I daresay a lot of the footage from their earlier productions [All change, and the Q stock one] will be in this one. www.jandkvideo.co.uk/photo_1911628.html
