Hi. On my site, www.thelondontube.co.uk, there are video downloads of the Central Line available. They are all cab views and are OK quality. Also, I made a video to show the emotions of the London Blasts. This can be found Here.David

For some strange reason I was tempted to have a look at the clips; then it suddenly dawned on me I know the line so well, I can even remember the numbers on individual tunnel rings... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

A "friend" who works on the line did them. He's got loads but can't get around to sending all of them to me. But I'm not complaining. Also, for some unknown reason, he doesn't want to be credited for them

Would be nice if they had sound. True, but; 1. I don't think he should be doing it in the first place 2. Thats what the drivers eye video has. They pay good money to TFL for the rights to that and to have great quality and sound for free would be taking the p*ss

I've been enjoying these, David, but can I ask a cheeky question? Are the videos speeded up in any way? Leytonstone to Leyton (for example) is approx 1 min 48 seconds start to stop. The reason I ask is connected with the stock acceleration times being quoted in the acceleration thread. The times being quoted there and your videos do not seem to equate.

I've just been looking at your Central Line vids. Great work. When I saw the West Acton to Elby I rememered a 62ts going into the stops on that rd. It was, if memory serves me right, a low speed impact that did a lot of damage. I think it was wet and the poor MM "lost it" with only a short distance to go. At the time their was a large hydraulic buffer that was supposed to slow the train down, unfortanately it had not been maintained as it should have been. When the train hit the buffer it shot forward compressed the water (I think thats what it was filled with) inside and caterpulted it back just stricking the top of the coupling plate. Only problem the plate and the buffer didn't quite line up. the result was the buffer went right through the cab and into the passenger area.the train suffered a lot of damage, floor pushed up and the roof bent down, and I think some of the semiperminant couplers along the train were damaged. Again a memory thing but I don't recall any serious injuries.

Russ Hmm, I did cut a few seconds off some of them or its the camera, as on some videos, you can see it speeding up a bit then returning to normal speed, I have no idea why

I have "lurked" on this this most excellent site for some time now,and now feel compelled to post the following. I have bought the some central and hammersmith&cityline DVDs from WWW.225studios.com and found them to very good, also I have a VHS called Tube History with the audio stating that all Wood Lane station is good for these days is vandels - which is a friend and I when we were teenagers !!!! illegally going into the station, not there anymore - its a shopping mall, which I think everyone knows.
