That was the reason the shuttle didnt run in previous possessions.
So I am assuming the work is centered around Finchley Central?

I know nothing about the Northern line, but could it be to do with the availability of stock or train crews?

There were MHE shuttles running yesterday, so I presume they will for the rest of the weekend

Another thought on this - I'm sure I've seen somewhere that Finchley Central will be closed for station modernisation works.

I think you're right sir.
Actually bar the Bakerloo Line, the engineering work for the bank holiday weekend isn't that bad - when you compare it with normal weekends.

North end of the victoria being closed will really put pressure on the Piccadilly & local bus services.

When you think that most people use a Bank Holiday weekend such as that one to go away on Thursday/Friday and return late Monday/Tuesday it's not as bad as slaughtering a "normal" weekend where people are heading off shopping or to sporting events.
This coming weekend, for example, is one such weekend, but there are works / service suspensions on the Circle, District, Met, Jubilee, Northern and Picc. Doesn't leave much.
What is planned is very mild for a 3-day Bank Holiday weekend.
