1. Does anyone know if there is a set schedule for installing the electronic line status boards at the various stations on the combine? Some of the minor stations don't have them yet (Fulham Broadway springs to mind).
2. How are these boards controlled? Can they be adjusted locally or are they operated from the NOC?

They are being installed in the easiest and cheapest places at the moment and where funds allow. Some stations will have projectors like at Embankment. They are controlled directly by 55 Broadway (NOC) so they can have more control over the network . The electronic boards can only be counted towards a station's information scorecard if they face the main passenger flows (which at some stations they don't) and if they do they count as 100%! They connect straight to the Intranet and also have the ability to show other data which is fed from the intranet, such as estimated time of arrival for stations which are near a Manual Electronic Logging location.

The latest electronic service info boards are simply display screens able to display one page from the companies intranet, which is the service status page. Station staff can't change this display.
They normally get installed as a part of a station re-furb or if the station is busy enough.
Sadly some boards have been incorrectly installed and will need moving, as the other service standard is the board must be visible before buying a ticket.
Oh and they're not terribly reliable. Breakdown alot. Plus the boards fall into a void under the PPP.

Inside there should be a keyboard to change all that! Just press Ctrl + N, and the rest of the Intranet is there! Have you tried reporting a fault to the new IT people yet, it takes at least 20 mins. And staff think that the Infracos are bad.

Nay lad. No keyboard anymore. Supposed to be a little TV remote control type thingy that helps when the screen packs up - like ours did for 3 weeks - but even that's no longer included. Tubelines blamed the IT people, IT people blamed tubelines, contractors came down scratching their heads etc. In the end the company who makes (and sells) the system were called down and fixed it in 5 mins And don't mention the new IT people. Notice how the IT system is now less stable! Outlook crashes almost daily and they take weeks to solve simple problems. AND they've stopped all new equipment being ordered. So our printer @ work that was flood damaged can't be replaced Also notice that the old company always emailed you with the job numbers once you called them. The new company tells you over the phone the job ref..... Oh and to top it off it's been installed in the wrong place. Even though everyone can read it from the otherside of the gateline, some manager from some department couldn't, so we need to do the manual board until someone agree's to pay the £10 grand to move the board (I'd have told the manager to go to Specsavers and spend the £10 grand on a new signal or something else more useful!)

If you use press Alt and the Shift Key, you switch between windows. So rather than using the Train Late Running Listing in the logger box you can have it in another (and easier to view) window. You can get all the stuff at tsd.lul.co.uk (Intranet Site)
