In 1986 Paul McCartney filmed a video on the tube for his single 'Press' from the video I see he travelled on the Piccadilly line at South Kensington on a un-refurbed 73ts.
Later I see him on either a central or northern line train ... which takes him to a station named Bond Street
could anyone shed a little more light as to when this was filmed and how they stopped hoardes of people trying to go see Paul McCartney?

I've seen the video... apparently, the producers gave up trying to stop people from gatecrashing him and just allowed them to scramble onto the train, in desperation for a photo or autograph!

I am sure the video [it was hosted by youtube] was posted on the chat thread several weeks ago! Have a scour in the old chat threads Luke, and ye will find it. Loads of diamond patterned jumpers, and dodgy hair-do's! ;D

I have watched the video, thanks to the link from donnytom. Most of it is filmed on 83TS and 62TS. There is also a little on 73TS. There is a constant switching between the various trains and stations.

At around 1.15 you see an 83ts pulling out with a guard at the rear. I personally have never seen any 83 images/videos with a guard. Also liked the unrefurbished 72 Mk II's with their red doors. Great!

IMHO, the 1972 mkII trains looked really good with their red doors and red roundels, quite stylish in fact.
