Page 36 - Surfing the Undergroud: "The site www.trainweb.org/districtdave/ was created by one of the drivers on the Underground. It's a behind-the-scenes look at the way the network operates, and clears up any rumours about what's happening at the Underground while giving info on any track refurbishments or track work. Plus there's a diary, where you can discover what drivers are really thinking." Annie Mole also gets a mention, along with www.goingunderground.netMaybe we can expect a rise in new members discovering life over here??

I don't doubt it! Exposure like that will undoubtedly result in an increase in membership.

will undoubtedly result in an increase in membership. To be accurate, a possible increase in applications.

Oh the vagaries of the English language! Until you lot started being daft, I automatically read (past tense) 'read' as being present (continuous) tense. So Tubeboy normally gets hold of the Metro but didn't that day.
How else could the poor guy make that post without laying himself open to this quite unjustified criticism/sarcasm?? Answers on a piece of humble pie please.....
smacked wrists and mouths to be washed out with soap, guys!!!

"Everyone saw the 'Postman' who comitted the murder, but nobody noticed him".
Moral: reading a document or periodical does not mean that you took notice of the portent or reference therein.

To be honest there were lots in the Metro yesterday about LU - one reporter did a night with a track crew on the Jubilee Line, the internet themed page was there as said above, and a page on the ELL takeover - sorry, extension. Gave me something to look at I suppose..........

Page 36. (I'll scan the other page about Hoxton when I get round to it!) That's page 33 ;D As much as I like seeing tabloids giving credit where it's due (like tube workers), that article is such a rip-off from TheLondonPaper. Their reporter went down the Northern Line with the maintanance crew at night and the article was published early December if I'm not mistaken. Interesting how The Metro mentioned DD's site - I loved his diaries and read every single entry!
