Has a timetable been published for the roll-out of Connect in the deep level?
I would expect that the Connect installation mob would probably be working with the VLU mob, as the upcoming introduction of the 2009TS is an opportunity to build Connect tech into the train cabs from new.

IIRC the Central and Northern have a relatively new radio system. If that is indeed the case I'd expect them to be connected last. Don't know about the other Tube lines.
I agree on the 2009TS, it would seem silly and rather expensive to install the legacy system for just a short while.

TfL says: The new Connect radio system is being rolled out across the London Underground network through 2006/7 with Circle and Metropolitan lines next followed by the Hammersmith & City, Bakerloo, Victoria, Piccadilly, Waterloo & City, Central, Northern and Jubilee lines (in that order). www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/press-centre/press-releases/press-releases-content.asp?prID=918So well, that's an order at least. And they leave the most modern radio systems for last.

The start of that press release is incorrect so don't know about the last bit! This is the order so far - East London -> District -> Circle and Hammersmith -> Metropolitan -> Then possibly what the release says. No, the press release is right: Connect, part of Transport for London's (TfL's) £10bn Investment Programme, is now live on the East London Line and roll-out is well underway on the District line. ...later... The new Connect radio system is being rolled out across the London Underground network through 2006/7 with Circle and Metropolitan lines next followed by the Hammersmith & City, Bakerloo, Victoria, Piccadilly, Waterloo & City, Central, Northern and Jubilee lines (in that order). The only disagreement is over the H&C section from Paddington to Hammersmith - I thought this was being done after the Met?

The connect radio is now in use on the entire East London, District and Circle and Hammersmith Lines. The Met is due to start to cutover on 11 December
