Definitely no pop-ups, and a most fascinating read as well. Great find.

I have been in contact with the author and have been told that this massive work is currently at the printers being prepared for publication as a very large format book. It is not going to be cheap, but as the definitive work on the subject - and a limited run - I am sure that it is going to be a sought after item. With publication scheduled for September, now might be a good time to put it on a wish list.

Yes, have sent an e-mail or two, and he says that its going to be an eight week process... Really am looking forward to it... the title is most fitting too!!!
I think it will be around the £25 zone...

I think it will be around the £25 zone... £25 is a pretty average price for a good hardback. From what I gather this is much more than that. If you look at the bottom of page iv of The Last Link by Mike Horne, he describes it as 'large format'. From what I hear it is a very big book, complete with pull-out colour sections. My guess is that it might not even cover costs if it was twice the price you suggest.

I just hope it will fit on me bookcase!
*looks at Rails Through The Clay, and wonders if this book will be of similar dimensions*
